Senior social worker; rehabilitation expert, specializing in group leadership. Senior positions in the Rehabilitation, and Family and Memorial Departments of the Ministry of Defence. University and college lecturer in group guidance, rehabilitation and intervention in times of crisis, bereavement, and loss. Freelance consultant to rehabilitating handicapped and treatment of the bereaved; coacher. Director of The Ami Dweck Foundation for Youth, active in the Social Workers Association, Member of the Board of Directors of Homesh - The Division of Rehabilitation Professionals within the Social Workers Association, acted for six years as its chairperson. Was chairperson of the Citizens of Re'ut Committee and a member of Macabim-Re"ut Local Council.

Merle Guttmann

M.S.W. Social Planning (Bar Ilan University). B.A. Anthropology & French (Cape Town University, S.A.). A Founding Member and Chairperson of ETZA - Israel Self Help Center (2003-2009). Founder & President of ESRA – English Speaking Residents Association (1979) and Editor of ESRA Magazine. Has served on Board of Directors of numerous organizations including National Council of Voluntarism, Small Business Centers (Raanana), South African Zionist Federation and was a town councilor in Kfar Shmaryahu. Recipient of ten awards for outstanding volunteerism including the President's Award (1992) and the Prime Minister"s shield for outstanding volunteer leadership (1999).

Ruth Lapidoth

B.A. Sociology and Education (Hebrew University). M.A. Business Administration (Bar Ilan University). From 1987 to 2004 she worked in various senior positions in the Migdal Insurance Group, including being Deputy Director.

Aron (Alan) York

Born in London in 1940, took a BA in law at Oxford, married and came to Israel in 1963. Lived in Netivot and worked there as a community social worker, at the same time learning for a diploma in the profession. In 1970 returned to England and took an MA in social work at Leicester University. On his return to Israel in 1972 he began to teach in the School of Social Work at Bar-Ilan University, from which he retired in 2008. He served as director of the school in the years 1994-97. He was awarded his Ph.D by Bar-Ilan University in 1979. He has been a member of the board of Israel National Council for Voluntarism and the professional committee of Elem (Youth in Distress) for many years, and he is the chairperson of the social policy committee of the Israel Association of Social Workers
